However, unlike many other sports, it does require a good amount of gear to get started. Going through the process of finding the right equipment can be a headache, especially if you have no clue where to start. Between the shoulder pads, elbow pads, helmet, gloves, and sticks, lacrosse requires a fair amount of equipment before you can take the field. So how do you hold all of this equipment? Lacrosse bags are the most convenient way to travel with the amount of equipment that is necessary. Most of them can hold all of your equipment, will last for many seasons, and come in multiple colors. This guide goes over some of the best lacrosse bags on the market and goes over some things you should look for when choosing one. Best Lacrosse Bags When considering which lacrosse bag is best for you, it is important to understand what features to look for, what brands are better than others, and what specifications you personally need. To find the best lacrosse bags, we considered what compartments each bag has (as well as their size), the number of stick holders, ventilation technology, durability, customer reviews, and more. Before getting started, it’s worth noting that lacrosse bags frequently go out of stock. To see current options that are in stock, you can check out Amazon, SportStop, Lacrosse Monkey, or Dick’s Sporting Goods. 6 Best Lacrosse Bags: Nike Shield XL Duffle Lacrosse Equipment Bag STX Challenger Lacrosse Equipment Bag Warrior Black Hole Bag Maverik Lacrosse Kastle Team Bag Brine Magnus Equipment Bag Predator Sports Vyper Lacrosse Equipment Gear Bag 1) Nike Shield XL Duffle Lacrosse Equipment Bag Drip Level: 5/5 Key Details Dimensions: 41″L x 12″W x 14″H Colors: Black Stick Holder: Yes Other Key Features: Coated bottom for moisture control, ventilated shoe compartment, insulated water bottle compartment Warranty: 60 days View on Sportstop The Nike Shield XL Equipment Bag is our top choice for lacrosse players looking for a bag that can hold all of their gear and sticks. The Shield XL is a large bag with a simplistic, clean design that looks great no matter what colors your team rocks. It is big enough to hold all of your equipment—yes, including helmets—as well as your sticks. On top of a large compartment for all of your protective gear, the Shield XL features a ventilated shoe compartment to keep them from stinking up the rest of your equipment as well as an insulated water bottle compartment to keep your drinks cool. Overall, the Nike Shield XL Lacrosse Equipment Bag is our top recommendation for players. It has a clean design, well-thought-out compartments, and will last for seasons. Pros Large enough for all gear Ventilated shoe compartment Coated bottom helps control moisture Cons Limited availability On the expensive side Buying Options:>> View on SportStop 2) Nike Dodge Large Duffle Lacrosse Equipment Bag Drip Level: 5/5 Key Details Dimensions: 25″L x 12″W x 12″D Colors: Black Stick Holder: Yes Other Key Features: Coated bottom for moisture control, ventilated storage compartment, padded straps Warranty: 1 year View on Sportstop I have been carrying my lacrosse gear in the Nike Duffle Lacrosse Bag for the past 10 months, and it’s impressively sturdy. Nike released it in 2024, and I picked it because I needed something durable but not too bulky. The strong polyester exterior protects everything from heat and moisture in different weather conditions. Despite rough handling, there were barely any rips and tears, and none of the stitching loosened. Besides, I loved the ventilated compartment, which separated my sweaty gear from everything else, especially after long practice hours. Although it’s not big enough to store both my cleats and pads, it’s a lifesaver. It also has an internal pocket, perfect for organizing my wallet, phone, and keys. The integrated stick straps are super convenient. They keep my stick secure without clunking around or sticking out awkwardly. I also like the side mesh compartments. Although they are not long-lasting and lack a zipper like Brine Magnus, they keep my water bottles and snacks handy.  Moreover, the padded straps over my shoulder felt comfortable, even when fully loaded. Given how much I have overstuffed the bag, I didn’t expect the straps to hold up so long. However, they’re still as intact as they were on day one.  Pros Ventilated gear compartment Comfortable and padded shoulder strap Secure stick straps Convenient internal pocket Two strong handles for easy handling Cons Small ventilated compartment Mesh pockets can tear Loses shape when half-empty Buying Options:>> View on SportStop 3) STX Challenger Lacrosse Equipment Bag (3 Options) Drip Level: 5/5 View on Sportstop Key Details Dimensions: Varies by choice Colors: Black Stick Holders: Yes, for multiple sticks Other Key Features: Large main compartment, small accessories pocket, separate pocket for cleats, two different size options. Warranty: 30 days The STX Challenger is another great bag from one of the most well-known lacrosse brands around. There are 3 options: a 36-inch bag, a 42-inch bag, and a 42-inch rolling bag. Having the option for a larger size is never a bad thing as well, especially if you end up needing more space down the road.  The rolling version is a great option for those who find themselves carrying their bags often. The outside sleeve design allows you to hold multiple sticks and there are enough compartments to fit all of your other gear.  The layout in the main compartment of the bag is very convenient and makes it easier to organize all of your equipment in a way that best fits your style. Unfortunately, there is no extra padding for air travel, meaning you may need to purchase additional padding, or something to cushion the equipment, as to keep all of your equipment safe during extensive travel. There is also no Velcro strap or clasp on the outside of the bag to help keep the sticks in place. This could result in the sticks becoming loose and falling out. Finally,

Best Carbon Lacrosse Shafts Reviewed https://laxdrip.com/shafts/best-carbon-lacrosse-shafts/ https://laxdrip.com/shafts/best-carbon-lacrosse-shafts/#respond Tue, 17 Jan 2023 23:21:18 +0000 https://laxdrip.com/?p=3023 There are a plethora of different materials used to make lacrosse shafts today. One material that has surged to the top in the past decade or so, however, is carbon fiber. Carbon fiber shafts are tremendous options because they provide amazing strength without being too heavy and flex in a way that other shafts can’t. Traditionally, players used metal lacrosse shafts. These, however, have a tendency to dent and bend more so than carbon shafts and have comparable weights. This guide goes over the best carbon fiber lacrosse shafts currently available and goes over what to consider to narrow down your decision. Table of Contents Best Carbon Attack Lacrosse Shafts 1) ECD Carbon Pro 3.0 (2 Shafts – Speed & Power) Drip Level: 5/5 View on SportStop Details Material: Carbon fiber + Kevlar Weight: 5.29 oz (Speed), 5.82 (Power) Shape: Extreme Concave Grip/Finish: Raised texture at top of shaft (Speed) & bottom of shaft (Power) Colors: Black, White Flex: Moderate to High Warranty: 6 months ECD took the best features of the Carbon Pro 2.0 shaft and implemented new features to make the 3.0 even better. It comes in two variations: Speed and Power.  The Speed version—mainly tailored for attackmen—has a higher flex point allowing for a quicker release. It also features a raised texture grip towards the top of the shaft to give you better control with one-handed cradling. The Power version—mainly tailored for middies/outside shooters—has a lower flex point allowing for more power on outside shots. Its raised texture is towards the bottom of the shaft to give you more control during those outside bombs. Both shafts are now reinforced with Kevlar, making them even stronger while maintaining a good strength-to-weight ratio. Something else new in the 3.0, they come with a sliding end cap that allows you to move it to where you’re most comfortable. The Carbon Pro 3.0 shafts also come with a new, more concave shape. In my opinion, this gives a much better grip as compared to the 2.0 and most other shafts. Both versions have clean designs featuring some text and logos that are barely noticeable on the shaft, in a good way. On the downside, the Carbon Pro 3.0 shafts are a bit heavier than some other attack and middie shafts. While this helps them hold up over time, you may want to look elsewhere if you have a strong preference for extremely light shafts. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LjJT4KCLR14 2) Maverik Hyperlite Drip Level: 5/5 View on Battle Lax Details Material: Carbon fiber Weight: 4.8 oz Shape: Slight concave Grip/Finish: Smooth matte finish Colors: White/Black, Black Flex: None Warranty: 6 months The shaft on our list of the best carbon fiber lacrosse shafts is the Maverik Hyperlite. It’s one of the lightest shafts on the market today (and the lightest shaft Maverik has ever created), weighing in at only 4.8 oz. Maverik just released the newest version of the Hyperlite in October 2022. It comes with an updated design and the same great performance as past models. Unlike some other carbon fiber shafts, the Hyperlite is designed not to flex. If you are used to metal shafts but want to try out a carbon fiber shaft, this may be a good option instead of jumping straight to a shaft designed to flex. The Hyperlite has a slight concave shape and a matte finish for a smooth feel. It comes in black and white/black, both of which have blue accents and a clean design. One of my favorite parts of the Hyperlite is the adjustable butt end that you can move on the shaft depending on where you prefer it. If you are looking for a lightweight carbon fiber attack shaft, look no further than the Maverik Hyperlite. It checks all of the boxes when it comes to a great shaft and there’s a reason it’s used by countless pro and collegiate players. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oyTorALoMIg Other Buying Option View on SportStop 3) StringKing Composite 2 Pro Drip Level: 4.8/5 View on Sportstop Details Material: Carbon fiber Weight: 4.76 – 6.88 oz Shape: Slight concave Grip/Finish: Smooth matte finish Colors: Black, White Flex: None Warranty: 6 months Another carbon fiber shaft makes our list of the best carbon attack shafts with the newly released (October 2022) StringKing Composite 2 Pro. Like past models, it comes in 4 different variations which differ in weight. The table below can help you decide which option is best for you. The new Composite 2 Pro comes with Smart Taper technology that adds extra material where shafts are typically the most prone to breaking. In our testing, we’ve found this shaft to be very strong. The biggest downside of this shaft is the weight of the versions designed for more advanced players (175 g and 195 g). While these aren’t super heavy, there are lighter carbon fiber shafts available. If you’re looking for a great carbon fiber shaft that will last for a long time, the new StringKing Composite 2 Pro is a great option to consider—especially if you don’t mind the extra weight of the more advanced shafts. 4) Warrior Burn XP Carbon Drip Level: 4.9/5 View on Sportstop Details Material: Carbon composite Shape: Octagonal Grip/Finish: Dot matrix on bottom half Colors: White Flex: High Warranty: 6 months The Warrior Burn XP Carbon Shaft is the second composite attack shaft on our list due to its durability, light weight, and great feel. If you like flexible shafts, then the Burn XP Carbon is arguably your best bet. The XP stands for “extreme power” and you can really feel it when shooting. Compared to stiffer shafts, you can really feel this shaft flexing as you shoot, helping increase shot power. There is a dot matrix grip on the bottom half of the shaft that helps reduce the need for tape. Many players have to tape up other to add grip but this makes them much heavier. This makes the Burn XP Carbon’s natural grip a huge plus. The shaft comes with two end caps: a Warp

Best Women’s and Girls’ Lacrosse Goggles https://laxdrip.com/equipment/best-womens-girls-lacrosse-goggles/ https://laxdrip.com/equipment/best-womens-girls-lacrosse-goggles/#respond Tue, 17 Jan 2023 23:07:08 +0000 https://laxdrip.com/?p=2566 The game of lacrosse is an extremely fast-moving and fun sport to play and watch. However, with such a rapid pace to the game and rules allowing for such physical contact, there is a lot of potential for injury. Unlike men that wear an assortment of pads and a full helmet, the only gear that women wear is a pair of goggles. Given that this is the only thing in between your eyes and the butt-end of someone’s stick or a hard ball whipped at your face, it’s crucial to find a protective pair. The best women’s lacrosse goggles are not only protective but also are barely noticeable when playing. You should feel safe and comfortable in your goggles, as well as having a full field of vision when playing. A Note About SEI-Compliant Women’s Lacrosse Goggles One important note before you begin your search for the right pair of lacrosse goggles: as of January 1st 2020, every girls’ and women’s league in the U.S. requires eyewear that is certified by the SEI (Safety Equipment Institute) and meets the ASTM Standard F3077-2017. In 2025, a physical SEI mark on the goggles will be required for high schoolers, as well. Goggles and headgear released prior to 2018 may not meet these new standards released in 2020. Simply put, if you are buying a new pair of women’s lacrosse goggles, make sure they meet the SEI and ASTM standards. Rest assured that all of the goggles featured on this page meet these standards and should be legal for the foreseeable future. Table of Contents Best Women’s & Girls’ Lacrosse Goggles We dove into the top products from all of the major lacrosse equipment companies to find the best women’s and girls’ lacrosse goggles on the market today. To find the best goggles and headgear, we looked at protection, comfort, durability, customer reviews, and cost. Click an option below to jump down to the review or keep reading to see all of the top options: Jump to a review: #1 Best Overall: STX Focus-S Ti+ Goggle #2 Best Overall: STX Focus XV-S Goggle Best Budget Goggle: STX Focus-S Goggle Best Headgear: Cascade LX Headgear #1 Best Youth Goggle: STX 4Sight+ S Youth Goggle #2 Best Youth Goggle: STX Rookie-S Goggle 1) STX Focus-S Ti+ Goggle #1 Best Overall Drip Level: 5/5 View on SportStop Key Details Colors: Black, Navy/Graphite, Red/Graphite, Graphite/Black Features: Lightweight Minimal double bar design improves visibility Titanium cage provides high strength-to-weight ratio The STX Focus-S Ti+ Goggle comes in as the best overall goggle on our list thanks to its extreme durability, light weight, and comfort. This goggle is also the preferred option for countless Division 1 programs throughout the country. The design of the cage itself is minimalistic, allowing for premium visibility and better viewing angles. The durability of this model is not to be questioned, having been built with a strong titanium cage, which is both sturdy and surprisingly light. Most other goggles are primarily made with steel, however since titanium is not only stronger than steel, but lighter as well, this makes the STX Focus-S Ti+ Goggle an absolute no-brainer for any elite women’s player. The downside to these goggles is that they are expensive. With the highest quality materials usually comes the highest price—and these are no exception. Overall, if you are not on a budget and you are simply looking for the absolute best product on the market, look no further than this amazing option. Pros Lightweight Durable (Titanium cage) Comfortable Cons Expensive Can’t wear overtop of glasses 2) STX Focus XV-S Goggle #2 Best Overall Drip Level: 4.9/5 View on Sportstop Key Details Colors: Black, Carolina, Graphite, Navy, Red, Royal Blue Features: Low profile double bar cage design for improved visibility Comes with a form-fitting silicone padding that doesn’t absorb sweat For ages 13+ The STX Focus XV-S Goggle is another exceptional option for competitive players, as well as young players looking to take their game to the next level.  Elite players tend to gravitate to these and the Focus-S Ti+ because they provide amazing visibility thanks to their distinctive cage designs. The Focus XV-S also comes with uniquely built silicone padding along the top of the frame, which does not absorb any sweat or moisture, making them easy to clean and durable. The low-profile double bar cage design offers extra visibility, and the adjustable strap allows you to easily keep your goggles nice and snug, resting comfortably against your forehead and cheek. While this option is very popular, and for good reason, it is typically not as durable as the STX Focus-S Ti+ Goggle since the cage is made of steel, rather than titanium.  You can see why the two products are priced so differently, but if the above-mentioned product is just slightly out of your budget, then opting for the STX Focus XV-S Goggle is not much of a downgrade. Pros Less expensive than the STX Focus-S Ti Easy to clean silicone padding Great visibility Cons More expensive than some other options Steel cage, not titanium 3) STX Focus-S Goggle Best Budget Goggle Drip Level: 4.6/5 View on Sportstop Key Details Colors: Black, Black/Lizard, Capri/Ice Blue, Carolina/White, Graphite/Citrus, Graphite/White, Purple/Plum, Royal/White Features: Steel cage for strength and protection Minimal double bar design improves visibility Many colors to choose from As you can probably tell by now, STX dominates the women’s lacrosse goggle market. The Focus-S Goggle is the go-to for anyone not looking to break the bank on a purchase, but simply looking for a safe, reliable pair of goggles. These goggles are not only SEI Certified and meet ASTM requirements, but also are affordable and come in a plethora of fun color options to create a more customized look. Though they are less expensive than the previously mentioned products, there are a few drawbacks to consider. Firstly, this goggle is only available for adults, so take into account the size you will need, and be aware of what you personally find comfortable.  Also

Gifts for Lacrosse Players https://laxdrip.com/deals/lacrosse-gifts/ https://laxdrip.com/deals/lacrosse-gifts/#respond Tue, 19 Jan 2021 23:19:11 +0000 https://laxdrip.com/?p=2569 There are countless awesome gifts you can give to lacrosse players. Between opting to purchase something for safety, style, or performance, your options are limitless. When first starting out, many people struggle to think of what to get their lacrosse-loving friend or family member. It’s important to ask yourself simple questions like: “What equipment do they already have?”, “How old is their current equipment?”, “Have they mentioned anything recently that they’re interested in?”. These are just a few examples of some questions you should be asking yourself when thinking of what to buy a lacrosse player as a gift. If you know that they have been complaining about their cleats for the past month, then focus on that. If you know that their bag is old and all of their equipment is new, then maybe focus more so on that. Aside from simple observations like these, you can always ask them too. Obviously, you may not always want to do this so you can keep it a surprise, but it’s never a bad idea to find out if there’s anything specific that they want or need to help them enhance their skills or even to have more fun with the game. To help you figure out what to get that special someone, we have compiled a list of the best gifts for lacrosse players. Table of Contents Getting a Lacrosse Player New Gear as a Gift Here at Lax Drip, we have a number of gear guides to help you choose the perfect gift for your player. Click on any of the pages linked below to see our top picks for that category. A New Lacrosse Stick Complete Lacrosse Stick: A great option for beginner players to learn the game with and play in lower levels of competition. Lacrosse Head: The head of a lacrosse stick can be used to carry, shoot, pass, and catch the ball. They can come in a variety of colors, designs, shapes, and sizes. Lacrosse Shaft: The shaft of the lacrosse stick is the main part of the stick, and therefore finding a great fit is essential. Shafts come in varying weights, materials, shapes, and colors. Fiddlestick or Mini Stick: A miniature lacrosse stick is a safe and fun way to introduce the game to younger players and a great option for messing around with friends in the backyard. Lacrosse Equipment View New Drops on Battle Lax New Lacrosse Gear Lacrosse Gloves: There’s no worse feeling than getting a hard slash on your hands when running down the field. With a good pair of gloves, players don’t have to worry about that. Lacrosse Arm Pads: Arm guards provide players with protection anywhere from the upper bicep area, down to the upper part of the wrist depending on the type. They typically are made with a hard-shell plastic on the exterior surface, giving them resistance from hard checks. Lacrosse Cleats: Lacrosse cleats help players get better traction for moving around the field. They come in high-cut, mid-cut, and low-cut options, as well as a variety of sizes and colors. Youth Starter Set: Starter kits are a great way for beginners to get all of the lacrosse gear they need to step on the field. They can save time and money as compared to buying all the gear individually. Lacrosse Visor: Lacrosse visors are made to keep your eyes safe during competition, helping to avoid any finger poking or dust going into your eyes. They generally come with tinted options as well, so you can find a color that best suits your style. Be sure to read about the legality of helmet visors before purchasing one for your player. Lacrosse Helmet: With lacrosse being such a physical game with fast-moving balls and sticks, keeping your head safe should be the #1 priority for any athlete. Lacrosse Field Equipment Lacrosse Balls: Getting your player new balls is always a safe bet. Over time, old balls lose their grip, making it harder to get used to how your stick will throw in games. Lacrosse Rebounder: These are a great way to practice your game when away from the field or if you don’t have a wall for wall ball. You can practice throwing and catching, receiving feeds, and more with these useful tools. Lacrosse Goal: A lacrosse goal is a great way for players to get more shooting reps in than they do at practice alone. Portable Lacrosse Goal: A portable goal allows you to move it anywhere that you want to practice. If your player won’t be just leaving the goal in the backyard, go with a portable option. Lacrosse Backstop: Lacrosse backstops are primarily used so that lacrosse balls don’t fly past the net as you are practicing your shots. Finding and collecting balls is a good way to tire yourself out, and it takes away the time and energy you could be using to enhance your game in other ways. New Lacrosse Goal Net: Over time, lacrosse nets get holes in them. There’s nothing more frustrating than shooting accurately on goal only to have the ball go through the net and fly away.
