Lacrosse is a fantastic sport, with so many amazing benefits. However, unlike many other sports, it does require a good amount of gear to get started.

Going through the process of finding the right equipment can be a headache, especially if you have no clue where to start. Between the shoulder pads, elbow pads, helmet, gloves, and sticks, lacrosse requires a fair amount of equipment before you can take the field.

2) Nike Dodge Large Duffle Lacrosse Equipment Bag

Drip Level: 5/5

Key Details

  • Dimensions: 25″L x 12″W x 12″D
  • Colors: Black
  • Stick Holder: Yes
  • Other Key Features: Coated bottom for moisture control, ventilated storage compartment, padded straps
  • Warranty: 1 year

I have been carrying my lacrosse gear in the Nike Duffle Lacrosse Bag for the past 10 months, and it’s impressively sturdy. Nike released it in 2024, and I picked it because I needed something durable but not too bulky.

The strong polyester exterior protects everything from heat and moisture in different weather conditions. Despite rough handling, there were barely any rips and tears, and none of the stitching loosened.

Besides, I loved the ventilated compartment, which separated my sweaty gear from everything else, especially after long practice hours. Although it’s not big enough to store both my cleats and pads, it’s a lifesaver. It also has an internal pocket, perfect for organizing my wallet, phone, and keys.

The integrated stick straps are super convenient. They keep my stick secure without clunking around or sticking out awkwardly. I also like the side mesh compartments. Although they are not long-lasting and lack a zipper like Brine Magnus, they keep my water bottles and snacks handy.

Moreover, the padded straps over my shoulder felt comfortable, even when fully loaded. Given how much I have overstuffed the bag, I didn’t expect the straps to hold up so long. However, they’re still as intact as they were on day one.

3) STX Challenger Lacrosse Equipment Bag (3 Options)

Drip Level: 5/5

Key Details

  • Dimensions: Varies by choice
  • Colors: Black
  • Stick Holders: Yes, for multiple sticks
  • Other Key Features: Large main compartment, small accessories pocket, separate pocket for cleats, two different size options.
  • Warranty: 30 days

The STX Challenger is another great bag from one of the most well-known lacrosse brands around. There are 3 options: a 36-inch bag, a 42-inch bag, and a 42-inch rolling bag.

Having the option for a larger size is never a bad thing as well, especially if you end up needing more space down the road.  The rolling version is a great option for those who find themselves carrying their bags often.

The outside sleeve design allows you to hold multiple sticks and there are enough compartments to fit all of your other gear.

The layout in the main compartment of the bag is very convenient and makes it easier to organize all of your equipment in a way that best fits your style.

Unfortunately, there is no extra padding for air travel, meaning you may need to purchase additional padding, or something to cushion the equipment, as to keep all of your equipment safe during extensive travel.

There is also no Velcro strap or clasp on the outside of the bag to help keep the sticks in place. This could result in the sticks becoming loose and falling out.

Finally, the straps on this model are conveniently located, however they do not have much in the way of padding. If you tend to carry your bag on your shoulder a lot of the time, it may be beneficial to look for a bag with more shoulder-strap padding.

STX is one of the most renowned companies in the world for lacrosse equipment—and the STX Challenger bag is no exception. Outside of just peace of mind, purchasing equipment from a company like STX is likely to give you more longevity, better quality materials, and better customer service.

4) Warrior Canvas Lacrosse Duffle Bag – 2024 Model

Drip Level: 4.9/5

Key Details

  • Dimensions: 40″L x 14″W x 14″H
  • Colors: Black, Grey, Red, Royal Blue
  • Stick Holder: No
  • Other Key Features: High-quality canvas material built
  • Warranty: 30 days

Released in 2024, the Warrior Canvas is an extra-large duffle bag that easily accommodates all my gear, including pads, cleats, clothes, and sticks. It’s one of the best lacrosse gear bags with a spacious gear compartment.

The Warrior has also added two durable zippers to improve the bag’s longevity. It slides smoothly even when the bag is full to its limit. The bag material is also long-lasting and doesn’t wear easily.

Moreover, it has a simple design with a single internal compartment for small objects and no outer pockets. However, the absence of outer compartments makes it harder to keep things organized. Thus, you should opt for the Warrior Black Hole bag to avoid shuffling through gear if you like your equipment organized.

Furthermore, the handles on the Warrior Canvas are functional but lack padding. It also lacks a long shoulder strap. Since I prefer cross-body carrying, handling a fully loaded bag for extended periods was inconvenient.

Regardless, the quality of the handles is exceptional, as they have not shown any damage yet. So, if you want a sturdy single-compartment bag to store all your equipment, it’s a perfect choice.

5) Warrior Black Hole Lacrosse Equipment Bag

Drip Level: 4.9/5

Key Details

  • Dimensions: 42”L x 13”W x 12”H
  • Colors: Black, Grey, Navy, Royal Blue, Red
  • Stick Holders: Yes, for 4+ sticks
  • Other Key Features: All-time best selling lacrosse bag for Warrior, wet gear/shoe compartment, full-length side pocket stores complete sticks and extra shafts.
  • Warranty: 30 days

The Warrior Black Hole is one of the most popular lacrosse bags in the history of the sport and for good reason.

It comes with an entirely separate wet gear compartment to help keep your dirty gear away from your fresh stuff, a shoe compartment, and a large central compartment for everything else. This model also holds multiple sticks so you can bring your backups to the field with you.

On the downside, there is not much in the way of ventilation. There are some vented pockets, however they do not compare to other models previously mentioned. The material has also been noted to be a bit on the thin side, so take note of how much equipment you need to carry and consider a more heavy-duty bag if you have a lot.

Overall, the Black Hole is a worthy option to consider from a reputable brand.

6) Maverik Monster Lacrosse Equipment Gear Bag

Drip Level: 4.9/5

Key Details

  • Dimensions: 15″D x 40″W x 15″H
  • Colors: Black, Grey, Navy Blue
  • Stick Holder: No
  • Other Key Features: Simple cylindrical design, water-resistant material
  • Warranty: 30 days

The Maverik Monster is another single-compartment bag with a cylindrical design on my list. It measures 15 x 40 x 40 inches and offers enough room for my equipment. I can fit all my gear, including pads, cleats, sticks, and extra clothes, without an issue.

I prefer the Warrior Canvas for its square design, which makes organizing gear easier. However, that’s just a personal preference.

Maverick also designed it with high-quality polyester. I have used it for a couple of months, and the heavy-duty build has held up through countless practices and trips. It’s also weather-resistant and keeps my gear safe from heat and rain.

Besides, the zipper is incredibly durable and doesn’t stick. I didn’t have the half-open zipper issue, as it slid smoothly despite filing the bag to its maximum limit. The handles also remained intact, showing no wear and tear.

Although it lacks fancy compartment settings, the bag size is quite functional. The only thing it lacks is the long and padded shoulder strap. Nevertheless, it’s a great bag if you’re looking for something spacious without the extra frills.

7) Maverik Lacrosse Kastle Team Bag

Drip Level: 4.9/5

Key Details

  • Dimensions: 14”H x 44”W x 14”D
  • Colors: Red, Black
  • Stick Holders: Yes, for 2 sticks
  • Other Key Features: Great ventilation, multiple compartments, fits all equipment
  • Warranty: 30 days

One of the bigger bags on the market, the Maverik Lacrosse Kastle Team Bag can carry at least two sticks, cleats, pads, your helmet, and even extra/backup gear.

The top zip venting section helps to keep all of your equipment fresh and ready to go. The top compartment opens up to allow for more air to pass through, and to dispose of any lingering odor.

There are also multiple other pockets and spaces to store any equipment you may need for the field. Plus, it even comes with a separate shoe area to store those smelly cleats.

With a nice interior design, as well as the detailed lining on the exterior, this bag was made for style and durability. You also have two color options, including black and red.

Though it does come with a padded arm strap, there are no wheels with this bag, which can be nice for moving your bag long distances. This is something to consider if you have a lot of equipment.

Also, though the price isn’t outrageous, you can certainly find cheaper alternatives. You do get better materials and more space with this bag, but of course this also comes with a higher price. There may be better options depending on your budget.

All in all, the Maverik Lacrosse Team Bag is a fantastic option to move your gear from home to the practice field to the game field. It’s large, convenient, durable, and stylish.

8) Maverik Road Trip Duffle Lacrosse Equipment Bag

Drip Level: 4.8/5

Key Details

  • Dimensions: 21″L x 13″W x 12″H
  • Colors: Black,
  • Stick Holder: Yes
  • Other Key Features: Strong bottom to keep bag upright, Adjustable handles, Extra straps to hold mouth guard
  • Warranty: 30 days

The Maverik Travel Duffle Lacrosse Equipment Bag is one of my top recommendations for anyone traveling to away games or tournaments. At 21″ x 13″ x 12″, it’s the perfect size, lightweight, and spacious enough to fit every gear for a weekend trip.

I loved the organization option with multiple compartments. I could store small items like tape, gloves, and keys separate from the bigger gear. As a result, I get easy access to things on the go.

Moreover, the external loops for carrying your stick are a bonus; there is no need to jam it inside the bag. The bag has several handling options, such as an adjustable, removable shoulder strap, short holders, and side handles.

Although the shoulder strap lacks padding, it’s best for short walks with the bag from parking lots to the field. I have used this bag in all kinds of weather, and the Pro-Tarp bottom has proven incredibly durable, protecting my gear from wet grass or muddy ground. It’s perfect for long-term use.

However, the zippers can become slightly stiff when fully packed, and there’s a slight risk of snagging if you’re not careful. The bag is perfect for packing lacrosse gear for long trips and has a significantly functional design.

Cons

9) Brine Magnus Equipment Bag

Drip Level: 4.8/5

Key Details

  • Dimensions: 42″L x 12.5″W x 11″H
  • Colors: Black
  • Stick Holders: Yes, for 4 sticks
  • Other Key Features: XL main compartment, side compartments, zippered accessory pocket
  • Warranty: 30 days

The next option to consider for your new lacrosse bag is the Brine Magnus. Between the logo, color concept, and overall design, this bag will help to set you apart from your competition.

It is one of the only quality bags on the market which can securely carry four sticks. You also certainly have options with this design given its large main compartment and zippered accessory pocket. It has ample space for all of your equipment and then some.

Though there is a zippered accessory pocket inside the main compartment, there isn’t too much more other than that. If you carry more smaller items, it may be wise to seek a bag with more small pockets.

Unfortunately for this model, there is only one size and color option. If you are one who is looking for more customizable color or sizing options, it would be beneficial to look for another model. Though a lot of space for its size, there are still larger options. Consider other alternatives if you do end up needing more space.

10) TRUE T1X Team Duffle Lacrosse Equipment Gear Bag

Drip Level: 4.8/5

Key Details

  • Dimensions: 43″L x 25″L
  • Colors: Black, Navy Blue
  • Stick Holder: No
  • Other Key Features: Large metal zipper, water-resistant material,
  • Warranty: N/A

TRUE T1X is one of the best lacrosse bags offering premium quality at an affordable price. I have been using it for months, and it has handled the load effortlessly. The durability is impressive, and it doesn’t have the cheap look you might expect from a budget-friendly option.

Moreover, the water-resistant material has been useful, especially during rainy practices or when I placed the bag over wet turf. My gear stays dry, which is all I can ask for in those situations.

The main compartment holds everything I need, including chest guards, gloves, cleats, and extras like hoodies or water bottles. I loved the straightforward, no-nonsense storage, which works perfectly for game days or practices.

Although I wish there would be a pocket on either side to store small items. I always had to hassle through things to find my wallet. The blank space on the back can also be used for customization. I can add my team’s logo or initials to give it a unique appearance.

Carrying it around is also simple. The straps felt comfortable and sturdy despite the bag being full. I have dragged it through muddy fields and tossed it in my car countless times, and it still looks almost new.

11) Predator Sports Vyper Lacrosse Equipment Gear Bag

Drip Level: 4.8/5

Key Details

  • Dimensions: 42”L x 13”W x 12”H
  • Colors: Black
  • Stick Holders: Yes, for 4 sticks
  • Other Key Features: Vented wet-gear compartment, detachable branding panel, water-resistant fabric.
  • Warranty: None

Though Predator isn’t a super well-known sports company, the Vyper lacrosse bag has good reviews and is right up there with options from bigger brands.

An especially unique feature, this bag comes with a compartment made to separate your clean from your dirty gear, and the entire compartment is vented to allow for odor to escape.

This bag also comes with a detachable branding panel so you can easily add your name, number, or team name right on the side of your bag.

In addition, compared to most models carrying similar features, this bag is one of the more affordable products on the market. If you are looking to save some money, this may be your best bet.

On the downside, this bag only comes in one size and color and it doesn’t have wheels or a water bottle holder. The inclusion of something as simple as a water bottle holder can make a difference.

Depending on how much equipment you carry, having only the straps may cause unnecessary stress to your upper body. If you carry a lot of heavy equipment, potentially looking into a bag with wheels would be something worth considering.

12) Lacrosse Personal Duffle Bag

Drip Level: 4.8/5

Key Details

  • Dimensions: 31″L x 14″ W x 11″ H
  • Colors: Black, Forest green, Maroon, Navy Blue, Red, Royal Blue, Vegas Gold, Orange, Purple
  • Stick Holder: Yes
  • Other Key Features:  Nylon lax gear bag, Multiple compartments, Mouth guard attachment strap
  • Warranty: N/A

I have seen my friend using a personal duffle bag for about a year, and it deserves to be on the list of best lacrosse bags. It’s slightly heavy due to the nylon built, but the empty bag maintains its shape.

Besides, the high-quality stitching and nylon material make it a sturdy option. The design might not look as neat as the Maverik Road Trip duffle lacrosse equipment bag, yet the quality is similar.

Moreover, it has two zipped side pockets, including a front zipped mesh pocket for storage. Although the side pockets are not big enough to hold water bottles, they help keep small things handy.

The front pocket was also useful for keeping a sweaty jersey separate from the rest of my gear. However, the mesh will tear from the edges if you over-stuff it because it’s not sturdy. So, use it carefully.

Furthermore, it also features two stick holders. I liked it because I always keep a spare lacrosse stick with me. The shoulder handle was also adjustable and comfortable for carrying the bag to longer distances.

Although pricier than other branded options, it’s a high-quality bag with a thoughtful design. So, if you want a functional design with multiple pockets, this one is the best pick.

13) Epoch Elite Gear Lacrosse Equipment Bag

Drip Level: 4.8/5

Key Details

  • Dimensions: N/A
  • Colors: Grey,
  • Stick Holder: Yes
  • Other Key Features: Padded shoulder strap, Ventilated Premium Rip-stop Hex material, Mesh shoe compartment inside
  • Warranty: 30 days

The Elite Gear Bag by Epoch is reliable equipment for elite players. Although expensive, it’s built with rip-stop Hex material that not only looks great but feels incredibly durable. It’s abrasion-resistant and scratch-free, even after being dragged through muddy fields.

Moreover, I loved the top compartment. It’s the perfect spot for keeping my gloves and mouthguard separate and easily accessible. The smaller compartments on each side also allow effortless access to stuff as I keep them organized. Meanwhile, the internal mesh compartment kept my shoes separate.

It has two short handles. They are well-supported and have soft padding for convenient handling. However, it doesn’t have a shoulder strap. Thus, if you are transporting it a longer distance, you might find it difficult to carry.

Furthermore, the zippers are on the smaller side, but they have held up well so far with no signs of wear or breaking, so I would say the quality is solid. The main compartment is also spacious enough to store all lacrosse gear and has good ventilation.

I think it’s a premium-quality bag with an eye-catching design. The Epoch design team has coveted all the functional needs while meeting the standards for elite players.

14) Epoch Sideline Lacrosse Equipment Bag

Drip Level: 4.8/5

Key Details

  • Dimensions: 38″Lx12″Wx12″H
  • Colors: Grey, Red, Black, Royal Blue, Blue
  • Stick Holder: No
  • Other Key Features: Large capacity bag, water-resistant material
  • Warranty: 30 days

Next on my list of best lacrosse bags is the Epoch Sideline lacrosse equipment bag. It is a single-compartment bag without extra pockets, making it perfect for just cramming everything inside and heading to practice. It’s a simple and functional duffle bag, ideal for young players who don’t want many organization options.

The quality is as good as the Maverik Monster bag, but it’s longer and has less width. It worked well for me, as I can easily store two lacrosse sticks

Besides, the material, stitching, and zippers are all top-notch. I haven’t had any issues with loose threads or fraying even after regular use for two months, which makes the bag feel well-constructed. It’s also waterproof, keeping my gear dry during rain.

However, it doesn’t offer the ventilation that the Epoch Elite gear lacrosse equipment bag provides. Thus, ensure that you don’t store sweaty gear in there for too long.

Moreover, the handles are strong and support the bag well when carrying from the bus to the field. It lacks the long-shoulder trap, unlike most bags.

The Epoch Sideline Lacrosse Equipment Bag is a good choice for players who don’t prefer extra organizational features.

How to Choose a Lacrosse Bag

Lacrosse Bags vs. Backpacks

So you’re set on getting a bag for all of your lacrosse needs, but what about lacrosse backpacks?

These are another great option depending on who’s going to be using it. Figuring out how you should decide between the two can be confusing, but here we will compare the two and help you find which would suit you best.

Generally speaking, lacrosse backpacks are a great option if you are looking to spend less, need to carry less equipment, and prefer being able to carry it on your back. An advantage of having a lacrosse backpack is that it also doubles as a normal, day-to-day backpack as well. So, they could also be a good option if you wanted a more casual look, or if you wanted to use it for other purposes.

Backpacks are extremely convenient; however, they are far more limited in terms of their features. Bags are more likely to come with more space for additional sticks, gloves, pads, etc. Some will also come with a separate wet/dry area, which is a feature that is not common in backpacks.

Take your needs as a player into consideration to decide between the two. If you don’t feel you need the extra space, backpacks are a great option.

You can find our favorite lacrosse backpacks here if you think one is a better option for yourself.

What Size You Need

The size of the lacrosse bag you need depends on the amount of equipment you carry with you. This might depend on the position you play, as well as individual preferences.

Do you like having extra pairs of gloves, pads, or sticks? If so, consider larger options, or bags with more side pockets.

Is the bag for an adult? Or a child? Consider the size of the bag and the size of the human carrying the bag.

Customer Reviews

It’s always important to read customer reviews (as we have done to create this guide). These can give you insight into how the products hold up that the typical product descriptions cannot.

For example, upon reading customer reviews for the lacrosse bags we considered for this guide, we found that many had durability issues. It would have been impossible to find out this information by just reading the product descriptions written by the companies selling them.

Based on reviews, if you are looking for a bag with the best general size, I would recommend Brine Magnus as it can carry multiple sticks and comes with a TON of storage for all of your equipment.

If you are more concerned about the ventilation aspect, either the Maverik Lacrosse Kastle Team Bag or the Warrior Black Hole T1 bag are good options.

As for durability, I would recommend the Predator Sports Vyper Lacrosse Bag due to its heavy-duty design and water-resistant material.

Budget

Finally, it’s important to consider your budget when choosing a bag.

Finding quality lacrosse bags doesn’t necessarily require you to purchase from a premier brand. There are often other sporting goods companies that sell cheaper lacrosse bags or generic bags that can be used for a variety of sports.

No matter which type of bag you choose, however, it is important to remember that with a lower-priced bag, you are likely to get a lower quality bag as well. Low-quality bags likely won’t last as long and may require you to go and buy a new bag sooner rather than later, possibly costing you more in the long run.

How We Rate Lacrosse Bags

We take our ratings seriously and only recommend products that we would use ourselves.

To come up with our ratings for each product, we test the product ourselves whenever possible, review product specifications (weight, materials used, etc.), and read customer reviews/talk to lacrosse players we know that use the product.

We only rate lacrosse bags that we have been able to see in person. We consider the overall quality of the bag, how much room there is, what pockets are included, whether or not the bag is waterproofed, cost, and more.

If you ever have any feedback for any of the products listed on this page or have a recommended addition, please contact us and let us know!
