There are many things lacrosse players look for in their gear: strength, durability, a nice design, good grip, and much more. One of the most important things for players to consider, however, is weight.
Having a lightweight stick and equipment can help you run faster, cut quicker, and be a more impactful player overall.
To help players find the lightest lacrosse heads and shafts, I scoured the internet looking for the weights of as many products as possible. Below you’ll find the lightest lacrosse heads and shafts for each position. I’ll do my best to keep this page updated over time as companies release new heads and shafts.
Before we dive in, I wanted to let you know that I wasn’t able to find a weight for every head and shaft on the market today. I tried my best, but there are likely other options that would have made the following lists if I could have found their weight.
Lightest Lacrosse Heads
Below you’ll find the lightest lacrosse heads available today. To find the weights of the following heads, I used the manufacturers’ websites, online retailers’ product listings, and ECD Lacrosse’s head reviews (which I highly recommend watching if you want to learn more about a specific head).
All of the heads in the table below are the lightest I could find except the last three. I included these to make sure I included at least one defensive head (2 tied below) and one goalie head.
In the third column, you can see what position each head is mainly designed for.
